Mattel has produced a unique Barbie doll based on Ester, as part of their Role Models collection. They select only a few women in the world to have their own Barbie doll, breaking boundaries in their fields and inspiring the next generation of girls.
In 2023, she graduated from college, achieving her M.A. and she started her own sports marketing agency.
In 2021, she and her grandfather set up a foundation - A Fund supporting legends of Czech sport.
Ester's grandfather is hockey forward Jan Klapáč (1972 World Champion, bronze medalist at the 1964 Olympic Games and silver medalist at the 1968 Olympic Games).
Ester's great-grandfather is Bohumil Rudl, who together with his two brothers, founded the oldest football club in Prague, AC SPARTA, in 1893.
Her mother Zuzana prepares Ester in fitness, manages the summer training and is the head coach of the "All STR team".
Her father Janek Ledecky has been at the top of the Czech and Slovak pop rock scene for several decades as a singer, guitarist and composer. He is also the author of five successful musicals. His rock opera Hamlet has been so far performed in five world capitals. In Seoul, South Korea alone, it has been staged five times in the last twenty years and has attracted more than 1,500,000 spectators worldwide.
Her brother Jonas is a visual artist and a musician. He has become an acclaimed comic book artist. Since 2014, he has designed all of Ester's racing suits and other equipment. Among other things, he designed the "Ester Ledecka x Bogner Fire+Ice" collection and the official jerseys for the Red Bull ASP Team.
The first race Ester participated in was the Milka Cup ski race series, which she won at the age of five.
Ester already drew attention to herself in 2011 at the Junior Winter Olympics, where she competed in three sports - snowboard cross, alpine skiing and alpine snowboarding, which she won. In 2013, when she became a double junior world champion in snowboarding - in both slalom and giant slalom - she decided to pursue snowboarding and skiing professionally. She had developed a precise plan and stuck to it, despite all those who discouraged her from doing so.
Ester's ski coach is the legendary Franz Gamper, who had coached Norwegian stars Aksel Lund Svindal and Kjetil Jansrud.
Ester's snowboard and ski training is coordinated by Red Bull's Chief Special Projects Manager for Athletes Robert Trenkwalder, who had coached Günther Mader and Lindsey Vonn.
The service manager is the renowned Guntram "Tschunti" Mathis, who had worked with Bode Miller and Alexis Pinturault before Ester.
The STR mark is ESTER's signature, which began appearing when she was in preschool, on all of her drawings.
She loves summer sports, windsurfing and beach volleyball.
She is the co-creator of her own brand collection Bogner Fire+Ice
